E-Learning DaysIf school is cancelled due to inclement weather or other adverse conditions, such as the COVID-19 Pandemic, ACSC uses E-Learning Days.  If your child misses speech on E-Learning days, he/she may complete home based practice by completing the pages listed below and/or practicing sounds with the School Tube Video Tutorials. Mrs. Maish will also offer videoconferencing therapy sessions. Mrs. Maish can be reached anytime via Parent Square and offers extra asynchronous therapy activities via the video attachments on this page. Additionally, you may contact her via email.

Mrs. Maish is an ASHA certified Speech-Language Pathologist who has worked for the Avon Community School Corporation since 2000. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Speech-Pathology & Audiology and a Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology.  In addition to providing diagnostics and therapy for students in K - 4th grade at Hickory Elementary, she also provides state mandated hearing screenings for all 1st and 4th graders, as well as new students and referrals. She is passionate about helping her students clearly communicate their wants, needs and knowledge and supporting students families with this process.
